Dr. Lei Zhang is an Assistant Professor at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Shenzhen Bay Laboratory. She was selected as Shenzhen High-level talent and supported by the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and National Key Research and Development Program of China. Dr. Lei Zhang got her PhD from the Institute of Molecular Medicine at Peking University and completed the post-doctoral training at Peking University BIOPIC. She focuses on single-cell analyses of the tumor microenvironment of colorectal cancer and the development of next-generation immunotherapeutic strategies. Her recent work delineates the dynamic relationships of T cells in colorectal cancer (Zhang et al., Nature, 2018) and the underlying mechanisms of myeloid-targeted immunotherapies (Zhang et al., Cell, 2020). Besides, Dr. Lei Zhang has published invited review on Annual Review of Immunology and Cancer Immunology Research. These works were awarded as “Top 10 bioinformatics advances in China of 2018” and “Best of Cell 2020”.
Dr. Lei Zhang’s Lab focuses on utilizing single-cell omics in mouse models and human samples to unravel the pathogenesis and mechanisms of immunotherapies in cancer and other immune-related diseases, aiming to rationalize current treatment selection and develop next-generation immunotherapeutic strategies.
